Fitial to lead Saipan MMA fighters in PXC

Fitial will be in heavyweight fight against Guam’s Toby “Big Tobz” Mesa.

Saipan’s Arnold “The Killer B” Balbin is matched with Hosea “Killa B” Ware in the 170 pounds fight; Maitai “The Charger” Charley will fight Micah Tobias in the 145 pounds; Lee Roy Sablan will take on  Rob Washington in the 155 pounds; Syl “The Deal” Teregeyo will meet U.S.’ JJ Ambrose in the cage in the 180 pounds division; “Kill Bill” Saures will be in the cage against Brazil’s Danelo Velefort in the 185 pounds; Fasi “Quickdraw” Jesse will fighting against Brian “Shotgun” Howard in the 155 pounds and Giovanni Palaxi Sablan will take on Kyle “Boom” Reyes in the 145 pounds.Trench Tech MMA president Cuki Alvarez has been working closely with PXC match maker and event coordinator Ken San Nicolas in the past few weeks to find more local talents to compete against top fighters from Guam.This came out, Alvarez said after PXC frontman, Eli Monge asked him to bring together a group of fighters in various weight classes and establish themselves as “worthy opponents in the MMA scene.”   “All these fighters have fought in Guam before and all of them have fought in the highest level of MMA competition here on Saipan as well against Guam and other countries. So Eli had me work with Ken San Nicolas and all the matches came to fruition,” Alvarez said.He added that the Saipan’s MMA team members are all excited.Whoever wins between Fitial and Mesa will be matched against PXC heavyweight title holder, Roque Martinez in December.Both Fitial and Saures have been cross training at Trench Tech in preparation for the bouts. They will be leaving for Guam on Sept. 17.
