Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said Charton Kenty was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and for assaulting a police officer on Sunday morning in Madelaii.
Aguon said the 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol and for assault and battery incident Friday night.Kenty was drunk and was causing disturbance at a residence in Madelaii past 1 am on Sunday when he was approached by the Task Force officers.The officers tried to subdue Kenty but he resisted and assaulted a police officer.The juvenile on the other hand was apprehended for assaulting a worker of a store in Topside Friday night.The police report indicated that the juvenile went to the establishment and punched the worker’s face then fled the scene.Later that night, police located the minor and arrested him while they were on routine patrol for illegal consumption of alcohol and assault and battery.Meanwhile a juvenile was also booked and confined for reckless driving and illegal consumption of alcohol when the vehicle he was driving run off the roadway and hit a wall of a restaurant in Idid early Saturday morning.The glass window of the establishment was shattered and the driver fled the scene.However he was later located in Iyebukel and was transported to the hospital for treatment. He was released later from the hospital and was brought to the police station for booking and confinement.
