Oktoberfest at the Hyatt Regency

The event was perfect to cap another regular week of work for most of the guests.

Hyatt Regency Saipan assistant Food & Beverage manager Michael Wilson said the Oktoberfest cocktail party gave the guests a chance to celebrate and meet with friends.

Hyatt’s Octoberfest kicked off on Sept. 14 until Sept. 19. Wilson said that in Germany, the Oktoberfest is celebrated in September.

“It was a successful Oktoberfest, but we have more events for our clients who had been supporting us throughout the years,” Wilson said.

For the whole week, guests were treated to a mouth-watering German cuisine at the Kili Café.

Highlighting the buffet menu were hot entrees consisting of Sauerbraten mit Spatzle (Bavarian braised beef with egg dumpling), Eisbein (slow roasted pork hocks basted with dark beer with sauerkraut and boiled potato), Uberbackener Huhner mit Apfel und Rosinesosse (baked stuffed Cornish hen with apple-raisin sauce), Fisch mit Krautern und Weisswein (steamed swai fish with thyme, basil and white wine), Gemuse Bauerntopfe (Bavarian vegetables casserole), Kartoffel Roesti (roasted potato) and Bavarian Rice Dinner.

The buffet also consisted of a barbeque station, soups, breads, assorted Bavarian cold cuts, sausages and cheeses, and a sumptuous selection of desserts.

Marpac marketing manager Jojo Camacho said they are highlighting Becks Beer for the event. Camacho said that Becks beer, a premium German beer perfectly suits the Oktoberfest celebration.

Marpac launched Becks Beer to the island last year.
