(CHCC) — Thirty-seven additional individuals have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 3,905 cases since March 28, 2020. The individuals have been isolated and are actively monitored.
Of the 37 cases identified on Jan. 14, 2022:
23 were identified via contact tracing, 11 via community testing and 3 via travel testing.
As of Jan. 15, 2022, there were 9 individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
5 unvaccinated, 4 vaccinated; 1 on a ventilator; 2 discharged
A total of 421 Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Jan. 14, 2022, resulting in 97.7% of the CNMI’s eligible population being fully vaccinated.
The vaccination statuses of the 37 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 395 Covid-19 tests were conducted on Jan. 14, 2022:
• 292 community-based testing
• 103 at the Covid-19 Community Center (referrals only)
Of the cases identified since Oct. 28, 2021, as of Jan. 14, 2022:
• 3,150 recoveries
• 446 active cases
• 18 Covid-19-related deaths
There have been 21 Covid-19 related deaths since March 2020.
Since Oct. 28, 2021, there have been 3,614 cases:
• 1,750 were identified via contact tracing
• 1,691 via community testing
• 173 via travel testing
