WHILE People tell me all the time, it’s hardly ever said publicly that Ambrose is RIGHT! A commenter to the “Black-balled Op-ed” made me think about something my MaDear told me that “sometimes you have to toot your own horn because no-one will do it for you” — so I hope the commenters heard that beep. Some commenters, whose names doesn’t even matter, seemed to be upset that my Op-eds and opinion letters are often about I or ME as if it is wrong to talk about and share my experiences and one’s self awareness about things in the CNMI. There are all kinds of things from books, to movies and even history about “A Person” and just because I use my personal experiences and awareness to PROVE some things, they don’t like it as the TRUTH hurts haters who don’t like an “outsider doing MORE than them” to try and make things BETTER in the CNMI.” I’m not bragging nor looking for any reward or credit but it’s just sad that our leaders don’t want to give credit where credit is due, because THEY want the Credit & Photo-ops for themselves. I already have enough credits for two or more people in my lifetime for ALL that I have done FOR Humanity and I’m retired, as my efforts are ABOUT the People who have suffered and still are suffering under Governor Torres & Republicans, through Covid and now its “the cost & quality of life” which is WHY the Travel Vouchers are so important for many obvious reasons but it was “Ambrose’s Idea” so it’s an automatic NO. It doesn’t matter that I was actually educated to “work in a Think-tank with the ability to look over the horizon” and provide good ideas to help mankind, which is the true HORROR in this Story!
I keep reminding readers about my experiences with these “Poli-trickers” to show them how awful their leaders are wanting ALL the Credit for themselves but I won’t let them get-away with it. But I think the commenters frustration may be more about their personal jealousies as they are always attacking ME, the messenger, but NEVER write anything publicly using their name to try and help or make a difference. In my culture back in the hood, we call people like them “sideline-heroes” which is not a complement but an emphatic insult as it implies “a lack of character or courage”. But what really got me was after complaining about “me & I” some of the commenters actually support the idea of “Local Travel Vouchers.” They even provided examples of how the Hawaiians had implemented a similar practice for the native Hawaiians to travel in-between islands with discounts for Hawaiians in commerce. Another commenter also said I was correct that the Cannabis industry is a big bust at this point. Why can’t you guys support me and even yourselves in public and stop hiding behind “fake-names” and be REAL Men and start writing in the Public to “do some good in our neighborhood,” as we say back home.
But I have to mention this one commenter who actually said: “WHY would the Governor and anybody from the Republican party listen to you as your latest mission in life is to constantly attack them and point out all of their failures and corruption.” Obviously, he doesn’t get-it that ALL my writings are about “the principles, values and morals of expectation that WE should ALL live-by.” It’s about the principle of me being RIGHT and yet this Governor and Republicans choose to IGNORE what can HELP the People because of their ARROGANT behavior, YOU John & Marie Public, suffer the consequences. Why do I have to beg and dedicate my LOYALTY to the Governor just to get him to listen to a GOOD idea, like people have to do for a job. If it’s truly a good idea it will stand on its own merits and given a chance to stand, not dumped with prejudice.
I complained and talked about the then Independents, but they didn’t ignore me and in fact they listened good because they are real PROFESSIONALS which is WHY they are now Democrats on the verge of fixing and controlling our government if Voters will help by getting rid of the problem — Republicans. REAL professionals don’t CARE who, how or where a good idea comes from as long as it’s GOOD! Readers know I have offered a PLETHORA of good & great ideas over the past thirty years that fell on Blind-eyes & Deaf-ears. I’m working to help the People and if by-some-turn-of-fate the subject is about ME & I, then so be-it and you can always depend on it being the TRUTH as not even my critics can call me a lie. One of my mentors, Ali, always bragged about his greatness, why can’t I. Stop hating and start loving me for trying to help YOU and make a difference in OUR Commonwealth, as it’s my Commonwealth too or did the commenters even know that fact.
But I do want to extend an olive-branch because I could really use some HELP in the newspaper as some of the commenters seem to be educated talented-thinkers and informed. Helping me publicly will even improve your writing as being public makes you more conscious of how and what you write. So why don’t some of you-commenters stop being a “signifying-monkey” as we say in the hood and help me because the bottom-line is “we all want the SAME thing for OUR Commonwealth — a NEW & BETTER Government FOR the People,” as Ambrose is RIGHT more often than not — for TRUE!
