(Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.) — As of March 10, 2022, there were eight individuals hospitalized as a result of Covid-19:
Two were unvaccinated, and six fully vaccinated.
CHCC also reported Thursday evening that 42 additional individuals had been confirmed positive for Covid-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,326 cases since March 26, 2020.
Of the 42 cases identified on March 9, 2022, five were on Tinian.
A total of 27 Covid-19 vaccine shots were administered on March 10, 2022. Of the eligible population, 57.6% have received an additional dose. The vaccination rate is calculated using the 2020 Census population estimates for the CNMI and includes the eligible 5-year-olds and older population.
The vaccination statuses of the 42 new cases identified are pending verification.
A total of 163 Covid-19 tests were conducted on March 9, 2022:
143 via Community-Based Testing;
16 at Koblerville Covid-19 Community Center; and
4 at Rota Health Center.

Of the total cases identified, as of March 9, 2022, there were 10,037 recoveries and 259 active cases.
Of the cases, 9,612 were identified via community testing and 714 through travel testing.
There have been 30 Covid-19-related deaths in the CNMI since March 2020.
