COMMUNITY volunteer Max Aguon said there was no illegal dumping at the island’s popular beach sites he visited during the holidays as part of his regular cleanup efforts.
He said he and fellow volunteer Akiki Alexander collected two trailers of trash on Christmas and a similar amount of trash on New Year’s Day.
This year’s holiday trash collection was more orderly compared to 2020, he added.
“Trash was properly placed in trash bins and disposed correctly,” he said as he thanked community members for disposing their trash properly at public beach sites.
