THE Biden administration has announced that half a billion tests will be available for free to U.S. households that can order them online for home delivery.
The office of U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan said CNMI households are included in this nationwide Covid-19 response.
Beginning Jan. 19, households are able to order rapid Covid-19 home test kits via COVIDTests.gov
The kits ship within seven to 12 days after an order is placed.
Four test kits will be allowed per residential address, including P.O. box addresses, free of charge, including free shipping.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend these tests for persons who may have symptoms, who have come into close contact with someone who has Covid-19, or who are gathering indoors with unvaccinated individuals.
In the CNMI, as part of the ongoing effort to contain the spread of Covid-19, surveillance testing has been expanded to include testing upon arrival and fifth-day testing for travelers.
Community members on Rota, Saipan, and Tinian can also avail themselves of free surveillance testing by registering online at covidtesting.chcc.health
