The Geckos’ biggest challenge came in their fourth match which was against Mount Carmel School 1.
Although SIS 1 started strong with a 10-4 run, MCS 1 fought back with hard work and hustle led by Kaia Travilla, Gayle Vidal, Fiona Bucalig and Victoria Ancheta.
The MCS 1 Knights dove and returned fire to stay alive. They managed to reduce the gap to just four points but could not hold their ground as they could not send a proper serve over the net.
This gave the Geckos breathing room. Soon enough, they were already leading 20-13. The Knights tried to prevent the inevitable but had to bow down to the Geckos, 14-21.
