ALEX Tudela clinched the October Ace of the Month title of the Saipan Golf Association on Oct. 17 at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Tudela competed against 14 other golfers and came out on top as he shot a gross of 39 on the front nine and 42 on the back for a gross total of 81. With a 9 handicap, his net score was 72, good enough for first place.
Finishing second was Nick Sablan who closed the 18 holes with a net score of 73 while Ed Sablan claimed third place with a net score of 74.
In the Closest to the Pin side event, Rick Kautz clinched hole #6; Frances Sablan secured hole #8; Rene Batalones was triumphant on hole #12; and Nick Sablan reigned on hole #15.
In the Longest Drive side event, Tony T. Benavente notched holes # 2 and # 10.
Alex Tudela now joins SGA’s other 2021 Aces of the Month: Das Krishnan (January), Joe I. Sablan (February), Frances M. Sablan (March), Rick Kautz (April), Tony Benavente (May), Ed Manibusan (June), Nick Sablan (July), Jung Eun Teack (August), and Larry Deleon Guerrero (September).
The next SGA Ace of the Month Tournament for November and Turkey Shoot was held at the Kingfisher Golf Links on Sunday, Nov. 21.
