MARIANO Fajardo topped the Saipan Golf Association Ace of the Month tournament with a net score of 69 on Nov. 21 at the Kingfisher Golf Links.
Competing against 12 other players, Fajardo shot a gross of 50 on the front nine, and vastly improved his performance on the back nine with a gross of 46. With a 27 handicap, his net score was 69, good enough for first place.
In second place was Joe I. Sablan with a net score of 70 followed by Ed Manibusan in third with a net score of 71.
In the side events, four players clinched the Closest to the Pin Award: Alex Tudela for hole #6, Mariano Fajardo for hole #8, Frances Sablan for hole #12, and Ric Kautz on hole #15.
In the Longest Drive event, Frances Sablan was triumphant on hole #2 while Das Krishnan took hole #10.
