The training, Connecting CNMI with the World!, will be conducted by John Holman, director of the Pacific Islands Hawaii Export Assistance Center.
PIHEAC is a division of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Services whose mission is to assist local companies in selling their products or services in international markets.
The training, which is set from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., will cover current trends, opportunities and resources that are available to exporters.

On December 8, Holman will conduct the same free training for local business owners on Tinian at the public library from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Pacific Islands Small Business Development Center Network and the CNMI SBDC are supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration under a cooperative agreement.
SBDC has been conducting various workshops and trainings for free for local businesses in cooperation with the Saipan Chamber of Commerce for the past months, including workshops on how local businesses can get federal contracts. Several other workshops have been scheduled for the coming months until July 2012.{jcomments off}
