P&A Corp.’s amusement park offers horseback rides, water play, roller skates

P&A Corp.’s amusement park offers horseback riding, a water play zone and an international roller skating rink.

Located at the Winners residence compound on Afetna Road in San Antonio, the amusement park is open from Tuesday to Sunday to provide children, teenagers and adults  enjoyable activities at a very affordable price.

P&A Corp. president Kim Hong Kyun and general manager Kim Do Yi said their goal is to offer recreational activities that families can enjoy.

P&A opened its indoor skating rink in early 2020, but then the Covid-19 pandemic happened forcing it to close. The skating rink reopened in October 2020 with arcade games and a snack bar.

In April 2021, P&A Corp.’s indoor water play zone became available to children 10 years and younger, and other guests. Minors must always be accompanied by guardians in the water play zone, which is located next to the skating rink.

Three months later, P&A Corp. opened the gates to its horseback riding track where shiny brown and friendly horse Cookie is ready to give a ride to people 8 years and older for a guided horseback ride. Children 8 to 16 years old must be accompanied by adults.

After two stressful pandemic years P&A Corp.’s amusement park is ready for everyone who wants to have a good time, skating rink manager Peter Lee said.

The amusement parks provides a place for children to enjoy fun and healthy activities while they learn exciting new skills, Lee added.

“This is a place for them to enjoy a happy childhood,” he said. “Here, they can skate, play arcade games, frolic at the water park and ride with Cookie. Everybody can be happy here.”

Health and safety

P&A staffer Nica Banayos said although wearing a mask is now optional, they continue to implement public health measures, such as sanitizing hands, taking the temperature of customers, and disinfecting the entire facility in between sessions.

Everyone is also required to wear socks when entering the skating rink.

Lee said they have very easy-to-follow instructions for first-time skaters. He himself is always around to assist, teach and guide skaters. Also providing assistance are rink supervisor Marjorie Camacho, staffers Elorene Ayuyu, Mieko Keremen and Jeroen Montenejo.

“Our first and foremost goal here is the safety of everyone, and to make each session accident-free,” Lee said.

The  skating rink is open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are three skating sessions: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
