(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host a “meet and greet” on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Resort, Azucena Room.
During this event, the business community will have the chance to engage in a direct dialogue with the deputy commander of Pacific Air Forces on current issues and challenges facing the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
The “meet and greet” will feature the Pacific Air Forces deputy commander, Lt. Gen. Laura Lenderman.
PACAF is responsible for Air Force activities spread over half the globe and supports 46,000 airmen serving in Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. Lenderman was commissioned through the ROTC program at Duke University and earned an electrical engineering degree.
The discussion will focus on how PACAF can support efforts to address these challenges and contribute to the island’s development. PACAF will also share information pertaining to both the business and general community, enhancing understanding and awareness of PACAF’s role and operations within the CNMI.
Chamber members and future-members will have the chance to meet the deputy commander in person, facilitating clear, direct communication through the appropriate channels. This interaction ensures that feedback, concerns, and inquiries are addressed efficiently and effectively.
