Island Bath & Ceramics had its grand opening on Saturday, and there was no hesitation on the part of the customers who flocked to the store to pick up various furnishings for their bathrooms, including huge modern shower rooms which store vice president Tatiana Ilmova said is a new item on island.
“The shower rooms have complete features to offer you the best there is, such as a back and foot massage, rain shower, remote control, telephone and even a radio so you can listen to soothing music as you take a relaxing shower,” Ilmova said.
She said people were just too glad to take advantage of the 5 to 20 percent discount on all items during the grand opening on Saturday.
Their displays provide matched bathroom furniture and furnishings from the tiles, sinks, bathroom mirrors, tubs, and showers.
Ilmova said they understand that the economy is “hard” and people have other priorities.
“But people will feel better when they see new businesses opening. It will give them hope for the future, hope that good times are ahead,” she said.
“This is a perfect paradise of a place. With the implementation of federalization, we like to think that things are getting better for the economy and for all the local businesses,” Ilmova added.
Island Bath & Ceramics had a soft opening in May but Ilmova said they had more customers during the grand opening who were only too glad to buy various items at affordable and discounted prices.
“Our furnishings give your bathrooms that classy and elegant look at an affordable price,” said Ilmova, the vice president for Union of Professionals House & Villa Rental, Real Estate.
She, her husband Ivan Ilmov and their daughter Anastasia have been on island for just two years when they decided to open the Island Bath & Ceramics to help residents beautify their bathrooms.
The bathroom furnishings they are displaying are designed for the needs of the community, not for the rich or average income earners only.
“As much as possible, we want everybody to have the best bathrooms they can have. Your bathrooms should be a place of utter bliss and relaxation, and you can only relax if everything about the bathroom is nice. We have whatever you need,” she said.
Island Bath & Ceramics’ products mostly come from China.
Ilmova said their bathroom fixtures are high quality products but at affordable prices.
“At Island Bath & Ceramics, your choices matter. We have a wide variety of choices for shower rooms, bathroom furniture, faucets and shower mixers, bathtubs, water closets, basin, pedestal basin and more that would suit your personal taste and your budget,” Ilmova said.
Aside from being aesthetic, their products are environment-friendly, she added.
