(SCC) —  The Saipan Chamber of Commerce proudly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome its newest member, Marianas Press, into the chamber membership. This event underscores the chamber’s commitment to embracing new members and fostering a strong sense of community among local businesses.

Founded in November 2024 by Thomas Mangloña II, Marianas Press is an independent multimedia news outlet dedicated to delivering timely and in-depth reporting for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Pacific, and beyond. By focusing on transparency, accountability, and integrity, MP strives to inform the public with deeply reported stories that amplify underrepresented voices and address the most pressing community issues.

“We are excited to officially welcome Marianas Press to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce familia,” said Kimberly C. Camacho, executive director of SCC. “Their dedication to independent and reliable journalism is a valuable asset to our community, and we look forward to supporting their growth and impact in the CNMI.”

Marianas Press is committed to its mission of providing original multimedia news reports that build a stronger sense of community. By holding those in power accountable and delivering the truth amidst a world of misinformation, MP plays a critical role in supporting a thriving democracy.

The chamber is proud to welcome Marianas Press into its network and is eager to see the positive influence they will have on local journalism and the CNMI business community. This ribbon-cutting ceremony reflects SCC’s ongoing efforts to highlight and support new and existing businesses in the region.
