The true taste of the Marianas

WHEN you dine in Bistro Marianas Restaurant & Bar at its new location in Garapan (the former Moby Dick Restaurant), don’t be surprised if you feel at home. You may even find yourself surrounded by familiar faces — family members, friends, co-workers or neighbors.

Bistro Marianas is the new favorite hangout of local community members on Saipan, says its owner, Reynaldo D. Faustino.

“Bistro Marianas gives you the homey atmosphere you’ve been looking for, and it also serves the true taste of the Marianas,” he said.

Since it opened at its original location in Chalan Piao, Bistro Marianas has become one of the island’s culinary attractions.

Served a la carte, its lunch and dinner menus include delicious island-style barbecues and mouthwatering local dishes, such as the special poke tuna, chicken kelaguen and clam chowder, all at affordable prices.

You should also check out Bistro Marianas’ spare ribs, short ribs and rib-eye, all grilled to perfection.

Also available are special strip steak with broccoli and orange, baby back ribs family platter, titiyas, kadun pika platter, fried chicken with red rice family platter, loco moco, shrimp tempura, sizzling sisig (chopped pig parts) and other Bistro specials such as steamed or fried pakapaka and parrot fish.

Bistro Marianas also features the musical talents of Big Jay and Parker Yobei. Big Jay performs on Friday nights while Yobei takes center stage on Saturday nights.

For Bistro Marianas’ second anniversary celebration on Saturday, Feb. 5, Big Jay and Yobei will perform back-to-back starting at 6 p.m.

Bistro Marianas’ lunch is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while dinner is available from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Happy hour is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays starts at 8 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m.

Bistro Marianas is open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and midnight on Saturdays.
