(Office of the Governor) — Gov. Ralph DLG Torres rescinded Directive 17 or the boating restriction directive of the Second Amended Executive Order 2020-04 also known as the CNMI Public Health Emergency Executive Order.
After consultation with the U.S. Coast Guard and the governor's Covid-19 Task Force, Governor Torres has determined that the capacity for enforcement of boating safety operations is sufficient to lift the restrictions.
Effective immediately boat ramps and docks on Saipan are reopened.
As always, vessel owners and operators must take personal responsibility to practice social distancing at the ramps and docks.
