THE Rotary Club of Saipan has renovated the San Jose pavilion, which the Rotarians have adopted to ensure that it is regularly maintained, club president Marcia Ayuyu said.

On Friday, Fr. Harold D. Funa of Kristo Rai Parish blessed the pavilion.

Ayuyu expressed appreciation to Division of Parks and Recreation Director Victor Guerrero for allowing the club to adopt the pavilion.

“We don’t just paint the Rotary logo on the pavilion for the sake of ‘advertising,’” she said. “We clean it up regularly. We have applied a fresh coat of paint and fixed the damaged portions of the pavilion.”

She said the pavilion is now “beautiful and looks brand new.” She is hoping that the pavilion users will help to keep it clean.

Ayuyu said the renovation of the pavilion will be her last project as club president. Her one-year term ends in June, but she said the Rotary Club will continue to maintain the pavilion for as long as it can.
