(DPS) — The Department of Public Safety-Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be open to serve the community beginning Monday, May 11, 2020. Office hours are listed below:

Monday - Thursday

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. — document drop-off for vehicle and/or watercraft registration renewal

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. — document drop-off for driver’s license renewal

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. — updated documents and/or driver’s license pick-up

From May 11 to 15, BMV will be serving those who have expired driver’s licenses and vehicle/watercraft registrations since the month of March or earlier. BMV will make an announcement for all other vehicle/driver’s license renewals that have expired beginning April 1, 2020.

BMV services will include: vehicle registration and transfers, watercraft registration and transfers, and driver’s license renewals. At this time all driver exams, and drivers testing are postponed, and will be rescheduled until a later date.

All individuals who are looking to visit BMV and avail themselves of its services are required to wear a mask and maintain the standard six-feet distance when lining up and around other individuals.

“We ask individuals to make payments at CNMI Treasury on Capital Hill, or Revenue and Tax in Dandan before turning in documents, as the BMV cashiers window will be closed. BMV will be accepting incoming documents and will be processing these documents for next-day pick-up.

“We look forward to serving the public, and we thank you for your patience and understanding, as we look for alternative solutions for a much more streamlined process.”
