Individual arrested for terroristic threatening

(DPS) — On Thursday, July 9, 2020, at about 5:16 p.m., a screenshot was sent in by several concerned individuals for detectives to review regarding a comment that was made on a social media platform where an individual commented, “Someone kill that guy already.”

At about 6:10 p.m., police were able to locate John Michael Dalangin, 26, who told police that he had posted the comment on his Facebook page.

At 6:39 p.m., Dalangin was arrested and transported to the Kanoa Hotel in Chalan Kanoa for Covid-19 clearance before being taken to the Department of Corrections where he was booked and detained.

The Department of Public Safety would like to thank the public for being vigilant and reporting these types of comments. These threats will not be taken lightly as the safety and well-being of each and every citizen is our number one priority.
