THE Legislative Bureau has lifted the austerity measure implemented in March in response to the steep decline in government revenues due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On Friday, LB employees reported for work.

In his memorandum, LB Director Tony Sablan informed lawmakers that the bureau will return to 80 hours of operation effective July 24, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2020, the end of the fiscal year.

The bureau that provides services to the Legislature in connection with duties and responsibilities during sessions and committee meetings has 29 employees including four legal counsels.

Senate sergeant-at-arms John Santos said he was happy to work again on Fridays.

Variety  learned that the staffers of the Office of the Governor returned to an 80-hour work schedule last month.
