SINCE its Narita-Saipan flight service was launched in November, Japan’s Skymark Airlines “load factor” has been “really good,” Marianas Visitors Authority Managing Director Priscilla Iakopo said.

She said Skymark is also involved in various tourism-related events and programs on Saipan while advertising and reaching out to prospective clients in Japan.

“It’s going to look even better in the upcoming days and weeks,” she added.

Skymark assistant general manager for its international office John Furuya said they expect to have more passengers once they update the computer system of the airline for online reservations.

“The load factor is getting heavier and heavier,” he said, adding that Skymark flights continue to arrive on time or even slightly before the schedule.

Furuya said their special promotion for Saipan will end in March, but they are likely to have another special promotion and a new campaign in April.
