LOCAL radio personality Jimmy Blancia said his Pandemic Unemployment Assistance claim has been approved, but the bank told him that it could not release the money.

He said he learned that his PUA claim was sent to Guam.

“This is very confusing because my application was for the CNMI Department of Labor,” he added.

Blancia was furloughed from his full-time job with JC Marketing Wholesaler and works part-time for KWAW-FM Magic 100.3.

He said he made another appointment with CNMI Labor to find a resolution to his case, and was told to wait for another week.

“I hope CNMI Labor can expedite the processing and release of PUA checks so furloughed people will not have to wait for months,” he added.
