A RESIDENT quarantined at the former Mariana Resort is unhappy with the food provided to her.

“The room is nice,” she said in an email. “The view is great, but the food is an issue. Every meal that I have received is lukewarm at best.”

She said she has called the front desk to complain about the cold food.

“An egg casserole was served for breakfast this morning.  It was good, but cold. Who wants to eat cold eggs? Even after complaining this morning, the lunch was served cold,” said the resident who arrived on island Saturday.

She said her room has no microwave to heat her food.

Asked for comment, Covid-19 Task Force Chairman Warren Villagomez said he will contact the food preparation team of  Kensington, which was contracted to serve food to those who are quarantined at the former Mariana Resort.

He said he will specifically request that meals be served warm to people at the quarantine sites.

He added that many companies have furloughed their employees and are operating with limited  staff.

“But we are fortunate that we are able to get a contract with them,” he added.

“We will address [the resident’s] concern and we will see how we can better serve them,” Villagomez said, adding that he appreciates feedback and recommendations from the people.
