LED by its president Sonya Dancoe, the Rotary Club of Saipan on Tuesday prayed for world peace as they also paid tribute to the people who perished in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.

She likewise congratulated the Rotary Club of Northern Guam for its “wonderful” virtual 9/11 wreath laying ceremony, the video of which was posted on Facebook.

She said the Saipan Rotarians, for their part, are planning to hold a special ceremony at the Peace Monument at American Memorial Park in February, which is Peace and Conflict Prevention Month.

Dancoe noted that the monument, which was erected in 2000, symbolizes the Rotarians’ commitment to promote peace.
