THE Governor and his Crew in the Legislature have been taking a “balutan” (free take-out) every chance they got and the Governor didn’t even bother to stop during this pandemic with his family vacation to the Northern Islands.

It was just amazing to learn that our Government spent over 18 million on travel in ONE year — and no, I’m not kidding.  FYI readers, 18 million tells me they were more concerned with traveling and spending than working to find revenues — for TRUE! I know for a fact that many Cabinet Members, Legislature Members and Senior People in Government and even in PSS’s Administration actually troll the internet for Seminars, Trainings and activities to travel as long as they can justify it like the Governor is going to justify purchasing “Cheetos, hunting equipment, three cameras, expensive Liquor at 2 a.m., illegal airplane tickets and other personal things with our money.”  The casino is now dead in the water and all that taking and misusing OUR money balutans are OVER. And come November, I hope voters will make sure the balutans are PERMANETLY OVER by getting rid of all the YOU-KNOW-WHOs in the Legislature and we don’t have to worry about the Governor if WE elect a majority of Democrats because he will be IMPEACHED if the Feds don’t lock him up first.

The Republican balutans actually started with the Retirement Fund and they just kept taking from it until it was dead and more recently, they robbed the NMDs. More important today is the fact that the Republicans should have NEVER made our Hospital a Private Cooperation.  They literally put our Hospital out-on-it’s-own and you don’t have to be a financial analysis to know our small hospital could NEVER be fully self-sufficient due to our small population and the high cost of health care.   The Republicans took the 40plus million Balutan that was going to the Hospital and used it to make the budget seem bigger but in reality, our Hospital paid the cost and is still paying.  For me, the Government should be paying the 34 million owed to CUC and ALL of the Hospital’s power Bills as a “government subsidy” which should have come from that Community Chess fund that our Governor gave away. Our hospital really needs an annual “CNMI Government Subsidy in addition to the Compact Agreement Funds” as there are just too many People in the CNMI who can’t afford insurance that leaves our Hospital stuck an unable to collect on a major funding source for their services.  WE the People need our Hospital to grow with our growing medical needs but that will never happen without real Government support in funding.  In fact, the failure to help our Hospital grow has only exacerbated another Balutan mess in how the Republicans have been running the Medical Referral Program for the past two decades as a “un-funded liability” (WITHOUT being budgeted) so they could manipulate the money coming into the Government instead of spending it PROPERLY.

It should be clear now that the Republican’s Game Plan all along was to use the “extra and unbudgeted casino money as the Governor saw fit without it going through the budgeting process that is meant to assure accountability over our Government’s spending which is supposed to be “spending properly and adequately to serve ALL the stakeholders.”   The casino was the Republican’s Balutan and now it’s OVER and just maybe WE the People can finally move-on and do-better, especially if WE get rid of this group of Republicans who forgot who they work FOR!

A Smear Investigation v Republican Crimes

With all due respect, Irene Holl is not liked and viewed by many commenters, not me, as “pure-trouble” for the lack of a better description. Ms. Holl sending a request to the Governor, the Speaker and the AG says it all because ALL three of them have FAILED us regular folks when it comes to justice. Why send a criminal complaint to the Governor and why hasn’t something been done before NOW if a crime was truly committed — duh, this is just ugly stinking politics! Why ask the Speaker to investigate something our Justice System is not investigating, especially when the Speaker needs to be investigated himself for forcing members of the Legislature to deny the People their right to know what HE and others did with OUR money. Mr. Speaker, I am not going to let this ugly act go until YOU and YOUR disrespectful Crew are GONE!  I guess they really think WE the People are powerless and stupid and they can just say and do anything and we will believe it, which makes me think our Republicans are drinking the SAME Kool-Aid-Spiked stuff #45 (Trump) and the mainland Republicans are drinking.  Maybe they’re drinking that bleach or disinfectant mixed with Kool-Aid that #45 was telling people to use that some fools actually tried. Which reminds me of P. T. Barnum of the famous Barnum & Baily Circus who is credited with saying “there is a sucker born every minute” and to believe the mess that Republicans on the mainland and in the CNMI are putting out would surely put one in the running to be one of those suckers.

The Governor’s Senior Policy adviser is weighing in like he is soooo darn concerned about conducting an investigation on Rep. Edwin Propst, but I suggest he first priorities and start advising on those investigations already facing the Administration he is advising and the other real investigations WE the People need. WE (most parents) have had kids at PSS without mishap so you can stop the fake concern parent routine especially when Rep. Propst is not even at PSS because no-one with common sense is falling for the smear campaign. What about the FBI RICO Investigation that is warranted and far more important than a “smear campaign that has no basis”? A warranted Investigation is needed for a resolution on the Governor being so petty in misusing OUR money for his personal items and plane tickets but the Speaker is stalling just like I predicted. A warranted investigation is needed on the Legislature who flat out refused to tell us what they did with OUR money even though it’s obvious they are hiding their crimes against the People they are supposed to be working FOR.  A warranted Investigation is needed on the Governor for giving away 40 million of OUR money to IPI. The Governor’s office is trying to change the narrative and news-cycle to be about Rep. Propst in hopes that some of the Republicans will be re-elected when WE the People know the real investigations and crimes are ALL about the Republicans and their corruption and failures.

But the Republicans are desperate now and they have all-hands-on-deck reaching and grabbing at anything they think can help them hold on to power — so WE should just enjoy the show and laugh at their foolishness because most of us KNOW WE will be rejoicing come the day-after WE kick them out of office. The Governor and the Republicans in the Legislature aren’t campaigning and hoping voters will make the SAME mistake or re-electing them. But our economy and quality of life in the CNMI is at an all-time low and WE must change our leadership by doing what Barack Obama said about this election on the mainland which also applies to the CNMI: “vote like your life depends upon it — because it DOES”!
