ACS first went up against Oleai Elementary School, winning easily, 21-8.

ACS’ players were in total control of the game as their aggression on both ends of the court played a huge role. Their ability to swipe the ball and transition into offense gave them several shooting opportunities. With teamwork and overhead passing to get ahead of defenders, ACS’ lead grew. Crystal Ye was on the frontline, scoring four points, supported by Barbara Wang and Ruth Zhang with one bucket apiece while OES remained silent with not a score on the board.

OES finally broke the ice in the second half thanks to the dribbling skills of Teresita Diaz who scored six points, but OES could not stop ACS’ run.

Esther Xu heated up with six points of her own with Cystal Ye and Wang also contributing buckets. Xu continued to deliver, adding one more shot as the game ended with ACS on top, 21-8.

ACS had to play another game but that did not faze its players who blanked Garapan Elementary School 26-0.

The spotlight again shined on Xu as she gathered 10 points while Zhang Ruth scored six points.

Oleai Elementary School did not end the night empty handed as its players beat William S. Reyes Elementary School, 10-4.
