MFC’s aggressive approach allowed its players to create openings with smooth passes. After 10 minutes of back-and-forth action, they finally broke through THFC’s line of defense as Sombat Shankweiler capitalized with the quick shot to give his team the lead, 1-0.

THFC managed to pick up the pace defensively by disrupting most of MFC’s attacks, but THFC could not hold on for long as its walls were breached yet again at the 17th minute mark. Banruang Brasuell finished strong to extend MFC’s lead, 2-0, as the first half ended.

The second half was more of a defensive game as both teams gave it their all to protect their end of the turf. However, MFC still controlled most of the momentum with a handful of attempted shots. MFC was finally rewarded at the 39th minute mark when Shankweiler connected her second goal of the day to put the game well out of reach.

THFC was down but its players never showed signs of giving up. It was not until the 43rd minute mark when they scored their first goal of the game thanks to Luzviminda Relucio who slipped a shot in between MFC goalie Shawn Davis’ legs to soften the blow, 1-3.

The second game of the day was won by the Paire Football Club which shut down MP United Football Club, 2-0.

The second half was when the real action started as Paire’s players found their rhythm through continuous pressure. Natalie Hill-Beyer broke the silence at the 38th minute mark which fired up the rest of the team as Maria Ornes contributed the second team goal just a minute later.

MP’s player tried their best to get even but remained scoreless as they were forced to play defense as Paire won with ease 2-0.
