AARON Paul Pamintuan, a 23-year-old multi-sport athlete, believes that physical fitness has long-term benefits, especially for one’s health.

“Health is defined by a person’s mental, physical, and social state,” he said. “I personally take care of my health as an investment for later years. To me, some major benefits include living comfortably and having a happy life.”

He added, “Given the chance, I still want to be able to lift weights and run long distance at the age of 80.”

Pamintuan stays active even during the ongoing situation with Covid-19. Running two to three times a week is one of his fitness routines. He also works out at home.

“I acquired a bar and some weights so that I could lift at home,” he added. Despite the lockdown and curfew hours, Pamintuan said the right mindset can help us deal with any difficult situation.
