LARRY Deleon Guerrero joined the elite of the Saipan Golf Association after securing his spot as June's Ace of the Month on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

Deleon Guerrero had to stay on his toes during the tournament as he was not in the lead at first. He completed the front nine with a gross score of 43, with two others ahead of him. However, he managed to maintain control of his swing as he transitioned to the back nine, holding a gross of 44 for a total score of 87. His handicap of 17 reduced his net score to 70 which put him ahead of the competition.

Das Krishnan shot well, closing the front nine with a low gross of 39. Unfortunately, he lost his touch during the back nine and struggled with a score of 45. His gross total was 84, but his handicap of 11 could only land him in second place.

Alex Tudela also had a net score of 73, but he finished third because he was bested by Krishnan in the front nine.

In the side events, six players received Closest to the Pin honors. For hole #6 it was Jung Eun; Das Krishnan for holes #8 and #12; and Alex Tudela for hole #15.

Ace of the Month Larry Deleon Guerrero had the Longest Drive for hole #7 and, alongside Alex Tudela, for hole #11.

The other SGA Aces for 2020 are Ed Manibusan (January), Jung Eun Teack (February), Nick Sablan (March), Juan “Pan” Guerrero (April), and Das Krishnan (May).
