(BECQ) — The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality analyzes water samples collected from Saipan's recreational western beaches and storm drainages as well as Managaha beaches  as part of a regularly scheduled sampling program.

Due to power interruptions and the unavailability of a backup generator on Thursday, July 2, BECQ was unable to readout the results from the samples collected this week.  Therefore, BECQ cannot determine whether these waters meet CNMI water quality standards for recreational use.
