FYI Commenter, someone MUST continue to keep the same-old-mistakes in the public eyes, especially when the Governor and his Republicans in office and on boards continue to shed a “NEW-Light” on WHY these old issues were not addressed (Amelia, cannabis, tourism, Mariana Resort, La Fiesta, OUR Community Chest etc.). We have a Republican Administration in charge & accountable but SILENCE is their “political-play” that Republicans have been running ever-since hoping they will be forgotten, which is why I keep these important social & economic issues in the forefront.
While most of us regular folks who attend Mass believe in the “Golden Rule of “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you” but the Republicans have their OWN Golden-rule of “SILENCE on Corruption,” which is why it has continued for over two decades to the point it is now common knowledge with RICO Looming but it’s even acceptable for too many of the Torres and AD voters. It was even asserted that “the culture sees it acceptable for Republicans to fire people who are not loyal” — I can only PRAY the culture will change. But just to prove my point about their silence-politics:
The Governor used SILENCE to avoid accountability to have an election when Governor Inos passed.
The Governor used SILENCE to avoid accountability on the STEALTH like attempt to ask Ambrosio to rig the House in favor of Republicans.
The Lt. Governor Arnold who was even complicit in the Governor’s crimes but chose to turn-a-blind-eye and remain SILENT until the Governor was caught and he was on the spot with the JGO.
The Governor used SILENCE to avoid keeping his PROMISE to explain all of his alleged crimes.
The Governor & Casino Commission are using SILENCE to avoid being held accountable for OUR Community Chest Money that is approaching 77-million and “I’m” the only one complaining.
The Governor & Sixto are SILENT on the 80-million supposedly for a Homestead that we don’t need.
The Governor has been SILENT on the Commonwealth Address for 3-years which is mandated by OUR Constitution — he’s breaking the law in our faces with IMPUNITY, just like Trump’s Playbook.
The Governor is still busy pointing a finger at Arnold but he is totally SILENT on the purchase of First-class tickets for his wife, as there is NO Defense for this abuse & misuse of OUR money.
The Governor & Lt. Governor are SILENT with NO-plans on the Cannabis & Hemp Industries as they don’t know what to do. FYI readers, even the 420 Cannabis Guide is for Guam, not the CNMI.
The Governor continues to be SILENT on the Earhart Monument and for those who think it won’t attract Tourists you need to show PROOF! Papua New Guinea and other places are taking advantage of Ms. Earhart to erect monuments and advertise her flight in the Pacific to attract tourists. But WE have some you-know-whats who are against PROGRESS who use totally ridiculous rationalization.
The Governor continues to be SILENT on why there is no RFP for the Mariana Resort and La Fiesta, as there is no excuse for this failure to “serve & protect the people’s interest in these properties.”
The Governor and his Secretary of Finance have continued to be SILENT on the solution to budgeting the 25% for Retirees using what I see as “Political-Extortion” to get 100% reprograming authority.
Now WE the People are seeing Mr. Mafnas being exposed for his Loyalty-SILENCE when he was allegedly asked to collude with the Governor’s Brother Vince to sell multi-million-dollar equipment. WHY didn’t Mr. Mafnas say something when it first happened is the same question that many people are asking about him and the Lt. Governor. It’s clear Mr. Mafnas doesn’t care about exposing political-corruption as he didn’t say a word until he was “double-crossed” and his job was on the line — a selfish act for REAL! Maybe he does need to go with his plan to steer voters for AD because if he had kept his support private, like he should have given his status, it wouldn’t have happened — Republican Silence-Politics.
The Governor and AD have yet to even mention their platforms as it seems “SILENCE & Photo Ops” are their strategy for winning — not a word on resolving any of our challenges. While Reps. Tina & Leila have made their Platform known to the public and it is also available on their website at www.sablanstaffler.com, many of us are still waiting to hear about the Governor’s and AD’s Platforms that I’m sure will not be worth the paper they are written on.
The Governor even remained SILENT on providing a subsidy for our power bills and made it a surprise, even though I have been yelling publicly ever since the ARPR Funding arrived nearly two years ago. But it wasn’t my yelling that made him do it, the fact that the subsidy will ONLY take place during the last 3 months of this election season is just more PROOF of how these Republicans continue to SAVE stuff for election season just to get elected. But it’s the DAY-After the Election that voters need to be concerned about most because if there is nothing NEW on the table and no-one NEW in the driver’s seat, WE can expect the same-old-silence with the same-old-challenges that never seems to be resolved. One People One Direction for NEW & BETTER Leaders!
