IT seems the Governor and his emissary want to turn the JGO Impeachment into another “DEFLECTING the issue by pointing fingers at members of the JGO and even past Governors — GASLIGHTING by continuing to claim total innocence when there has been a single thread of evidence to exonerate himself. I find it almost hilarious for the Governor and his emissary trying to change the narrative by making accusations about members of the JGO and how they should be held to a higher standard when the Governor won’t even respond to a subpoena that is clearly legal and even encouraged by the Constitution which gave the JGO the power to subpoena the Governor. For a Governor who is supposed to be upholding the law the REALITY is that he is doing an awful lot of “AVOIDING the Law.” I keep saying, he really thinks WE (voters) are really stupid.
The REALITY is that WE the People have seen all kinds of evidence on how the Governor has misused OUR money and I guess we are not supposed to believe our eyes and what we saw if we are to believe the Governor who is only singing one tune instead of testifying and offering real evidence in his defense. The REALITY is, yes, there have been other Governors and Secretaries who purchased “business and/or first-class tickets” but the bigger TRUTH is none of the Republican Controlled Legislatures for the past two decades who never held their fellow Republican Counterparts accountable. But the moment WE the People give Democrats control of the House they want to cry foul and complain about the past. But the REALITY is this is about Ralph DLG Torres, not previous Governors nor any member of the JGO. So, you can STOP the Deflecting and Gaslighting Shows Governor and your emissary Grace because it won’t work with people who have seen the mountains of evidence that clearly indicate you are GUILTY!
It also seems the Lt. Governor is not living in REALITY if he thinks his “outburst against the Governor” is going to help him. EVERYONE with common sense KNOWS that the Lt. Governor “was silent turning a blind-eye to the Governor’s activities for three years”. But now he wants to pretend like he is so discussed with the Governor because he filed a Lawsuit but he didn’t say anything when he signed-off on the Governor’s illegal activities! I believe the Lt. Governor’s actions are “ALL part of the plan to fool voters” and given there are those fooled about wearing masks and getting vaccinated I’m sure there will be those who will follow him. But I’m confident it won’t be the silent majority who can’t WAIT to get into the voting booth to get rid of this group of Republicans, but some are realizing now that “the Loyalty Pledge to the Governor is DEAD” figuratively.
In REALITY, the ultimate test and “check on the Governor” will be in the Senate that is controlled by Republicans and one of them is Torres’ Running mate so we already know how he will vote. I predicted when the JGO first started that the burden of convicting the Governor would be on the Senate, and the question now is “will they be LOYAL to the Governor or to the Constitution and the People they have sworn an oath too.” Their votes will be public so voters will know who to get rid of and who to keep based on their vote that will clearly demonstrate their character, fortitude and dedication to the People and our LAWS, or to the Governor!
The NEW!
The NEW Year is coming and I’m sure many people want to see NEW and even BETTER things going on with our Government, our Economy and our Quality of Life. Putting an end to Governor Torres will surely put the CNMI on a NEW and BETTER Path for Our Future, even with Arnold at the controls for few months. But more importantly, this impeachment is a REALITY CHECK for VOTERS to know WHO are Torres’ Loyalists and who are Loyal to our Constitution and the People! Do we really want the Feds to embarrass us by not doing our job because they are coming-soon and like Arnold, Kilili, myself and others have said: ENOUGH! The REALITY is out with the Old starting with Torres & Arnold and Vote for the NEW and BETTER Democrats! One people One Direction.
