LET’S face it. If you think I’m the most skeptical U.S. journalist on Planet Earth then you’re correct.
I don’t have to explain that I feel battered and sandwiched by China and the United States.
I can stand my ground in Oregon or Saipan.
So it’s true that U.S. politics has wreaked havoc on Americans families nationwide. But do you think it’s right to fool our low-income families and pocket all U.S. federal government money that is supposed to help the poor and the sick?
The federal government should look into these biased state and territorial officials who are misusing and abusing their power.
As for GE, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Facebook and the corporate media world — stop helping China steal out computer technology OK guys?
It’s also bad that pharmaceutical companies think my wife is their piggy bank for their opioid profits.
Before there was computer technology, there was the traditional canoe that sailed the Pacific. And that is part of my heritage.
I don’t think we Americans are biased or egotistical, but some are too greedy to share the wealth which is why I think we need to have a G-7 meeting on the Fantasy Island of Saipan, USA. Can you imagine the dignitaries staying at the IPI hotel-casino?
The CNMI once collected tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue from the garment industry, but all that money’s gone.
It’s the very reason U.S. immigration took over the CNMI.
Many years ago, I was in critical condition when I came home for an emergency R&R. Well, I survived Saipan even though back then there was no water at our house, and power fluctuations and rolling blackouts happened daily.
I was lucky my Mom & Dad had their own big concrete water tank at our Chinatown home. But I wasn’t feeling well and I thought I would just die of frustration and anger.
I almost became a total psycho coming home just because the government services on Saipan were bad.
I tried to fit in but I felt I didn’t belong to the island anymore. My Dad delivered federally funded hot lunch to Saipan’s elderly and retirees. He was from Agrihan so when I say “home” now I actually mean Oregon, Saipan and Agrihan.
Today all I want is to help our community and neighbors. And I say no to all biased ideologies.
Sincerely,
JACK O. ROMOLOR
