Stanley, you and your political buddies have run the CNMI into the ground and you think without Uncle Sam’s handouts and laws you can do better?
Maybe even prosper?
Third World countries are governed better than the CNMI! After all this time you (CNMI politicians) have had to make the CNMI a place of beauty and prosperity, you want to put the blame on the U.S. government because things haven’t gone your way? Because the CNMI is in such dire straits?
How is Uncle Sam to blame for Guam and the CNMI’s problems? If not for Uncle Sam, you would be second class citizens in your own land and speaking Japanese. You would need a visa to go to Guam — you wouldn’t be able to own the land that you currently have on the mainland, You wouldn’t have been able to get that higher education (that you seem to be wasting) from the U.S. either.
If living life as a U.S. citizen is so bad, why not load up a boat with you, Uncle Ben and all your cronies, find a northern island to claim and declare your own little kingdom. Then you will have no one to blame for the mess except yourselves, which is what you should be doing anyway.

Former NMI Resident
