Another example, a taxpayer making $15.87 an hour or $33,000 a year is entitled to $1,826. Just imagine that even a taxpayer with an hourly salary of $20, equivalent to $41,600 annually, will get $5.00 for EIC if the taxpayer is married, filing jointly with spouse and has two or more children.
I pledge that I will revive this program without costing the NMI taxpayers additional tax. I like to disclose that only U.S. citizens and permanent residents are entitled to EIC benefits.
