Letter to the Editor: CUC water

But, what about Chinatown? CUC provides water around 8:30 or 9 a.m. daily. I feel terribly sorry for the school kids and the workers who probably go to work without taking  a shower. I suggest that CUC starts supplying water at 6 a.m.

I am assuming that not many of the Chinatown residents  have water tanks for their auxiliary supply. And one more thing: it is really painful for the pocket of a single person to pay a $40 flat rate for water. Navy Hill residents have water meters installed by the roadside but have to pay the flat rate of $40.

Is CUC trying to make money out of the poor residents of Navy Hill by ignoring the water meters?

Whose fault is it if the residents don’t have water meters that work properly?
