Letter to the Editor: Cyber Politics II

Fortunate for them they did so in secret as their comments were clearly not intellectually driven. Not a single fact about the support of the National GOP support for Mr. Babauta was stated that could be substantiated and it is obvious they are purely attacking me and not the issue. But I guess they have finally learned it doesn’t pay or help their cause to attack me publicly with frivolous arguments based on nothing more than personal preferences and twisted facts.I made the statement “those non-intellectual people I talked about are nesting in this section behaving more like a rat pack” and I think voters deserve be preempted with both sides of the comments because these comments will surely be discussed in the days to come as the cyber pack will surly try to spread their feces of personal preferences over the CNMI’s political process figuratively.

purukako July 12, 2010 04:16PM Really? He was there since he was a Washington Rep. and what? Did he fix anything? And how would you know that they are backing him? Did you see any paper or certificate? He was there 12 years because he did a GREAT Job –duh! His job was to HELP not LEAD and he brought 100s of millions to the CNMI long before ARRA. I guess you DID NOT see the official PICTURE & Press Release of Mr. Babauta with the GOP National Chair- get informed.

+2 #3 reader July 12, 2010 02:11PM According to Ambrose, the best equipped politician for Delegate is someone who’s served 4 years in the Senate, 12 years as Res. Rep. and 4 years as Governor but has yet to finish what he needs to do for the CNMI. Experience is the first thing on the list for qualifying to do anything and Mr. Babauta has more experience in politics and Washington than all the other candidates put together. What work is he talking about when work in Washington is never done which is the very reason he needs to return-duh!

#2 [email protected] July 12, 2010 02:09PM Endorsements are just that, Mr. Bennett. It doesn’t alter what we know of failed local politicians. WE are all human and we have ALL fallen short of perfection and I’m sure Mr. Babauta like most of us has LEARNED and is even better from his mistakes – everyone deserves a second chance, especially when he NEVER let the CNMI down in Washington where he did some of his BEST work for the NMI.We gave Kilili a second chance so WHY NOT Juan, especially when the facts dictate he can do a better job?

#1 Kimo Mafnas Rosario July 12, 2010 01:12PM Mr. Bennet; Kilili is already part of the Congressional leadership in D.C. Do you not consider the National Democratic Party a major political organization? At least he used a name but the Democratic Party of the CNMI IS NOT POLITICALLY CONNECTED to the Democratic Party in Congress – they are two different parties – did you know that? There has been NO DELCLARATION of support for Kilili coming from the National Democratic Party Chairman and furthermore, the Republican Party is about to take over Congress again. Kilili has pictures with politicians in Washington but Mr. Babauta has an official endorsement from Washington- big difference!

+3 #8 blueflyer July 13, 2010 06:34PM Mr. Bennet, so we’re non-intellectual and a bunch of cyber-rats – whatever…but all these whinings didn’t answer my question: what does the former gov has to show in all his yrs in DC and his contribution as governor to this “pretty darn good” mess we call economy??? I love this one – First, thanks for admitting you are an organized group of a cyber rats, secondly Juan Bababuta has done more for the CNMI in Washington than ANYONE and you need to do your homework before asking such a stupid question. Third and finally, when Governor Babauta said the economy was pretty darn good – he was dead right at that point in time.If you compare the economy now with a budget less than 150 million to the economy then with a budget of over 200 million he was right but like most non-intellectuals you fell for the “smoke & mirrors politics” of the opposition and chose WRONG!

+4 #7 JTataomona July 13, 2010 05:14PM By the way Mr. Bennet, “U.S.A.” stands for the United States of America and not United States of Ambrose. See what I mean by only focusing on a character assassination attempt.

+8 #6 the teacher July 13, 2010 04:58PM Ambrose,

You said “I’m for freedom of speech but when”, and the reasons no one agreed with your letter of support for the GOP, was not because it was poorly written, but because Juan handed the last election to BE due to lack of support for HA by him, and his supporters.See what I mean about people looking backwards when we should be looking forward, especially when BE and HA have NOTHING to do with this election of, for and by the PEOPLE.

+12 #5 Watch Dog July 13, 2010 04:28PM Dear Mr Bennett, I’m sorry that your feelings got hurt from the comments to your last letter. I’m sure you truly believe in your endorsed candidate and the republican party but facts are facts, the democrats are the powers that be in Washington D.C. at the moment. Kilili has already established himself there and now is not the time to start over with a new delegate. I can respect this opinion but he doesn’t seem to know the Democrats ARE NOT going to stay in power. He also doesn’t know that most of the things Kilili is claiming responsible for were going to happen regardless of who was our delegate – duh! Kilili is still fighting for a monument we already had!

+10 #3 capricorn July 13, 2010 01:26PM Wow! Now this is the pot calling the kettle black! Every reader of the MV has the right to make whatever comments they choose to, and you calling them rats for doing so, is quite distasteful. It is your comments that are distasteful and if you would use your REAL name I would call you by your name but I was not afforded that opportunity.

+9 #2 Analyzer July 13, 2010 01:20PM Are you talking about us the intellectual people smart reasonable- were no rats were the new generation of holding the corrupt officiasl accountable and responsible for our people’s suffering- are you trying to talk about Juan babuata the pretty darn good liar who lied to the people that we have a honky dory rosy darn good economy in his failed administration-wake up Bennet and take control of your life -were no rats were the people’s watch dog for manipulators like you A.B.-liar liar pants on fire.-I could care less if my name is exposed to the public..period. Thanks for confirming you are an organized group. Your English and spelling are bad and please read what I said to your friend blueflyer.

+10 #1 JTataomona July 13, 2010 01:06PM You’re a funny man, Ambrose. Before you go calling people names, why don’t you ask JNB why he shook the GOP’s gubernatorial candidate’s (Heinz S. Hofschneider) hand and then a week before the runoff elections, joined Governor Fitial, Rep. Stanley Torres, Senator Crisostimo, et. al at Godfather’s Bar for a few rounds of drinks and a spanking good time. You have to be a very gullible or out for revenge of some kind to buy into a photo that can be staged to IMPLY anything you want. The National GOP just endorsed Juan N. Babauta and that is something none of the other candidates can match. You are also looking backwards when you should be looking forward for REAL BETTER TIMES!

I wrote a series of pure FACTS about the political potential in the delegate race and this is what comes back in comments publicly which contradicts the direct and personal comments I have received with total support. But I will let the readers be the judge as I’m confident common sense people will rule with most voters, especially the intellectual people who will be objective and not subjective.

I was taught by a very wise woman that “if you can’t say it to a person’s face you shouldn’t say it at all”, my mother. The people who hide behind coded names in the shadows of the internet laying in wait to assassinate someone’s character that is defenseless in the paper are BEHAVING just like rats.I guess they don’t understand the dynamics of the English language because I never said they were rats but that their behavior was like a rat pack. But if the shoe fits then let them wear it because they have surely helped me to prove the point that they exist and they are indeed an organized group. The funny thing for me was all the comments were against my letter BUT living in a society that is RULED by the SILENT majority tells me a lot more people agreed with me than the small number who disagreed.I want to thank the cyber rats for exposing themselves and making it easier for everyone to see the infestation problem of non-intellectuals operating in the public domain. But the cyber rats don’t have to worry about me anymore as I have accomplished my mission by exposing them with their help – thank you.One people one direction for looking ahead and sending our very BEST to Washington based on the FACTS.
