Letter to the Editor: Fighting corruption

Who in his or her right mind is going to ride on a rusty train with fishing hooks and lures all over the floor? Where did you get your train anyway — from  Matsue? You might as well ride on your train to American Memorial Park and sit in the museum as part of the display. You are not doing any good in the Legislature.

We are experiencing unscheduled blackouts and the teachers are fighting against all odds to have the school start on time and you pass a stinky blue marlin bill to appropriate $25,000 to buy your hooks, lures and fuel for the next game of the rich and famous people.

It is a good thing that Rep. Tina Sablan is up there to expose all this corruption in the Legislature.

Maybe the FBI should look into the lawmakers’ assets. How many legislators own a boat and how many participated in the last fishing derby?

The Legislature cannot even pass a resolution asking lt. governor to step down from the office. Betraying a country and its people should not be taken lightly by a lawmaking body. What ever happened to checks and balances in the government?

Asking Rep. Tina Sablan to roll up her sleeves and get on the train and help you count your hooks and lures so you can support her bills — I don’t think she will do that; she would rather stand for the people of the CNMI and fight corruption.

While you were afraid to stand up and ask Timothy Villagomez to step down from office, Rep Tina Sablan stood up before you and asked him  to step down — it made her 10 feet taller than the rest of you. That is fighting corruption. If what happened here happened in another country, there will be uproar on the streets.

I told Rep. Sablan once that when David fought Goliath God was behind him guiding the stone. When you fight corruption in the government people stand behind you.

My advice to Rep. Sablan is that don’t shake the Legislature too much — the hooks and lures may start falling from the drawers.
