Letter to the Editor: Fire the advisors

House of Representatives that if we didn’t want the way we had been treated we should seek independent status.

Governor, any U.S. citizen can sue the federal government but this is not the proper time for it. If Guam and Hawaii are under the federal immigration system and are better off than we are, I think we should allow the feds to come in and improve our immigration and labor offices.

The big problem we are facing now, governor, is CUC and the rolling blackouts. Maybe you should sue the former executive director of CUC during the Babauta administration and your administration because they did not do good job.

Last Saturday, I met an old friend at Sabalu Market. We talked politics and CUC and I asked him if he was a member of Taotao Tano Inc. He smiled at me and said no. So I asked him who are the members of Taotao Tano Inc. and he showed me three fingers, including the middle, and he said the president, the wife, and the advisor.

My father once told me, “Son if a man knows that he knows not, follow him, he is wise; but if a man knows not that he knows not, stay away from him, he will lead you to self-destruction.”

When we complain about a certain issue, let’s also provide a solution. Because if you don’t know the solution, how do you know that there is a problem?

I went fishing with my father one day and we got into a canoe. I took the paddle and stood in the middle of the canoe, and after studying both ends of the canoe, I looked at my dad and he said, “Son what is it that we forgot?” And I said, “Dad, where is the front end of this canoe?”

Governor, please hold on to your lawsuit. Let’s not rock the boat in troubled waters. It was the  politicians who started the fire; let’s not throw gasoline into it.
