know and feel all the heartwarming support offered and has been given to us in so many ways by our employers, friends, families and the whole community of the CNMI.
With the recent signing of the Army Community Covenant spearheaded by retired Judge Edward Manibusan, who is our civilian aide to the secretary of the Army, it is comforting to know that my family has this other option in seeking assistance they may need while I’m gone.
I would like to take this time to thank you all for all the offers and support you all have given us. And for the assurance that my family and my fellow soldiers’ families will be looked after and taken care of as well. You have given my buddies and I the strength, courage and confidence to forge on in preparing for our tasks and missions ahead. The unselfish support and prayers give our families their strength, which in turn strengthens us as well.
From this point forward in our journey, it is just a matter of adjusting ourselves mentally and physically to ensure that we accomplish all the training and other tasks that we need to fulfill in preparing to go down range or in country.
I do admit that I will miss my wife, kids and all of you, but home will still be with us where ever we may be because of the uniqueness of this unit. The 100th BN Echo Company’s uniqueness is that we will be leaving the CNMI to some foreign country to do what we do best as the finest and highly trained soldiers of America’s greatest ARMY. The ARMY turned us into soldiers but these local boys were molded since childhood as one family. Soldiers who are not only my battle buddies but who are my friends, cousins, brothers and relatives. We are the CNMI’s BAND OF BROTHERS and this is why HOME IS ONLY AN ARM’S LENGTH AWAY.
GO FOR BROKE!
