Two of those commenters, “mamababy” and “Obama Sin Laden” have succeeded in demonstrating precisely, for all to see, the lowest level of humanity while others (?) manipulated the comment “ratings” to give the false impression that these comments were “acceptable.” They are not.
I hope the two of you realize that you have only succeeded in pissing off about 30 million Heroes and their families that fought for the very right that gives you privilege to denigrate them! Further, you have also succeeded in giving an exceedingly poor impression to all who read the article and it’s “commentary” of an otherwise wonderful people of the Chamorro nation. It doesn’t matter whether you are truly an NMD or not while hiding behind your anonymity; the mere fact that it was present under the article published in a “local” paper leads to that conclusion — and if you’re not NMD, the conclusion then becomes even worse!
For your edification: There actually ARE over 200 WWII AMERICAN soldiers listed as “MIA” in the Northern Marianas — including Saipan. They have families. Those families have NEVER been accorded the dignity of a proper funeral or burial of their lost loved ones; and you two have the scurrilous indignity and crude character to trample on the hearts of the descendants of people who died standing up for your existence while you remain a coward behind a cloak of anonymity; afraid to stand before us on your own merits under your own name and make a legitimate case for your point of view!
I have no “hatred” to the CNMI nor am I seeking “revenge” for anything, but I will stand up for the rights of those who can no longer speak for themselves when others without moral objective seek personal benefit lacking proper credential or procedure. Ours is a duty extending around the world for ALL who have yet to “come home” — no matter the nation. Why don’t you open your mind (and heart) and try to see how you would feel if someone told you that one of YOUR lost loved ones who fought for YOU doesn’t matter anymore?
Make no mistake — YOU are just as “American” as those “Americans” you have tried to vilify.
