Her name is Angelina Cabrera Sablan, wife of the late Isidro Atalig Sablan, and mother of eight amazing children. She is my grandmother, and a woman of great qualities. She is our “Kappun Mom.” The Lord himself can see just how marvelous His creation is. Many kind words can describe my “mom,” as they rightfully should. She is our strength, our support, our backbone! She is everything we aspire in life. Because of my “mom” I can finally come home to family. I am not here to gloat; I am here to be thankful for having a mom. We all have experienced this, whether it was love from a mother, an aunt, a cousin, a friend, or even a step-mom. We all know this feeling. So take a moment Marianas, and be thankful even for just one day. You never know when you might lose them, which is why I take every chance I get to thank the Lord for another day with “mom.”
