I believe that Congressman Gregorio “Kilili” Sablan has changed how the CNMI is viewed by U.S. congressional members and they are listening and understanding clearly the needs of our people.
We must all agree that in such a short amount of time and being our first delegate to Congress, Kilili has made tremendous improvements with our political relationship with the U.S. Congress and the federal government.
I ask that we do not make the mistakes of the past by removing someone in public office who works for the people simply based on political rumors, political attacks, political preference and especially hearsay for it will be devastating for all us and that of our future generations.
As a kid growing up I remember crystal clear to this day those individuals campaigning loudly, screaming through the night in my home village Chalan Kanoa with promises of immediate improvements in our health care facility, education, public safety, infrastructure and so forth but once elected it was nothing but a dream and myself begging for a tardy slip for class.
Lastly, I leave you voters with this short and positive note: “IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT.”
Remember that we now have a VOICE of Reason in the Halls of the U.S. Congress who delivers for the good of the CNMI as a whole.
