near them trying to pick the pockets of a Japanese woman. When he saw the man looking at him seemingly telling him not to say anything, he got scared and left the place as fast as he could.
That night when he was telling us what he saw, I told him that he should have reported what he saw to the police station near the area. He’s a visitor and didn’t know what to do.
I’m writing to ask the DPS commissioner to deploy enough police officers to the street market to protect the tourists. This is not the first time I’ve heard of reports of pickpockets being spotted at the street market. We don’t want these tourists to leave with sad stories to tell back home.
