Letter to the Editor: She said, he said

When Mr. Erediano interviewed me, I firmly informed him that the ticket “Showtime 2011” sold to me for $5 by Sharmaine Casquero at the beauty parlor in Garapan is not about the video conference but for paying attorney Laguatan as per Sharmaine’s explanation for the purpose of selling the said ticket. However, according to your article, you never mentioned specifically the name of attorney Laguatan instead it is just for a lawyer. In addition, I never mentioned about “a portion of the proceeds” to pay attorney Laguatan instead I told you that Sharmaine told me that the proceeds will pay attorney Laguatan.

This is to confirm to you that Sharmaine Casquero repeatedly told me that the proceeds of this show is for alien workers who will be out of status by Nov. 27, 2011 and that their (Rabby Syed, Boni Sagana and Itos Feliciano) priority are those with U.S. citizen children because they will pay $5,000 to attorney Laguatan who was supposed to be expected to arrive next week to represent them. Sharmaine also invited me to go to the vigil camp near the USCIS office to sign up, whatever the purpose was not explained to me.

I did not divulge these irregularities to purposely disappoint those people who are behind this but I want to tell them that if you want to make a “show for a cause” you should put on the ticket who are the organizers, who will benefit from the show and where the proceeds will go to tell people that you are authentic. Meaning, do not mislead people! Unfortunately, on the interview of Rabby Syed based on the article at Saipan Tribune dated Nov. 19, 2011 he said, “believe it is for a good cause”  and IT IS THE INITIATIVE of some foreign workers, while Boni Sagana doesn’t have idea how they will account for the proceeds of the show. Thus, organizers should know how to facilitate such responsibilities.

I feel victimized and demoralized because I am just doing what I think is right because I have learned and validate myself from USP4GG that attorney Ted Laguatan NEVER asked any money nor authorized anybody to collect money and that he will come here “on his own.” Rest assured that attorney Laguatan himself confirmed it last Saturday Nov. 19, 2011, on the videoconference which I attended personally.

Buying such ticket is a form of help on my part but using names for the benefit of a few abusive people is not right.

Generally, nonresidents whether legal or illegal are all thinking negative thoughts now because of the Nov. 27, 2011 deadline so if we continue this kind of irregular activities pretending to help aliens but is not the actual purpose then whoever is/are responsible for this kind of activities should just stop.
