The Agkag distribution system used to be the best on island, and water service was 24-7. Now CUC seems to be struggling to deliver water to my area with the most ridiculous, absurd, inconsistent water hours in this galaxy. I think Mars has better water service.
Let me give an example of the very inconsistent schedule. What I am about to mention may change very quickly before you can even say CUC.
Monday to Friday water goes on 6 a.m. and is turned off about 8 p.m. Friday.
Sunday: zero water.
Or sometimes Monday water goes on 6 a.m. off by 12 noon. Tuesday-Wednesday, zero water. Thursday-Friday, 24-hour water. Friday to Sunday, zero water again.
The one thing that really upset me is the weekend before school started — we did not have water since that Friday all the way to Monday. They did turn on the water on Monday at 3 p.m. for about three hours only. Not nearly enough time at all to wash and dry the kids’ clothes for school.
Sometimes I ask myself how do you turn on the water consistently at times then go cold turkey? Definitely something else is going on and I want an answer. Many times I called trouble desk and all I get is a lot of B.S. (Better Speculate): pump is broken, tank is empty, they’re fixing it, blablabla.
I don’t t believe them anymore and I’m SICK AND TIRED OF WHAT’S GOING ON!
CUC if you were to turn off the water at the very very least be consistent because you are driving me crazy with your stupid schedule and I’m pretty sure my neighbors feel the same.
What I am about to say next is very ludicrous. Numerous times when we’re waterless we would turn to nearby water companies that sell, yes, you guess it, CUC water.
We normally purchase 500 gallons for $20. I am buying CUC water from a middle man that CUC allows when in the first place that water should have been prioritized for the residents, families and the community.
Who knows — these companies may be filling thousands of gallons of city water therefore resulting in the shortage. Something is really really wrong with this picture.
CUC has come out in the media of how successful they are in pressurizing the distribution system and providing 24-hour water service to Garapan, CK, Susupe, finally!
This is great but as other villages move forward Agkag is going backward; it’s going down hill.
I know CUC invested thousands if not millions of dollars in upgrading about 13 wells around Agkag to increase their output and also to fix leaks at the Capital Hill reservoir.
What happened to the water?
Dry, wet, hot, cold — you name the season and we still don’t have water.
The next time you issue your consumer confidence report don’t put down water service from 0430-1200. Please be realistic about your schedules and have the courtesy to inform the people that there will be no water, so in that way they can be prepared to fill up their tanks and buckets. Don’t just leave us wondering!
