Letter to the Editor: Slap in the face

That was a slap in the face. We put our public trust in our government and what they did was tarnish our government’s image by trashing our public trust and our moral ethical values.

If our leaders really value and honor the fundamental principles in our U.S. and CNMI Constitutions, I have no doubt they will feel guilty and be obligated to apply the Open Government Act to themselves.

It’s a shame and an outrage that they would turn a blind eye and deaf ears to our U.S. and CNMI constitutions. For our leaders to come to work everyday and ass-u-me that everything is fine and hunky dory is like monkey see monkey do.

Our leaders who do nothing concerning our Open Government Act  should look in the mirror every morning  before coming to work and ask themselves this question: “Am I making a difference in my public life?”
