We ask this question: Why are the burdens of past mismanagement and gross negligence of our government now being handed down to all government employees? You are all now being pushed to a wall with political threats with the ultimatum of choosing austerity or layoffs.
Our executive and some members of our legislative branch have not worked hard enough to protect the well-being of all government employees but yet they ask for your VOTE of confidence in this upcoming 2009 general election.
All of you know who these elected officials are that chose not to override the VETO of the budget.
Be advised that the only recourse or solution left is to STAND STRONG and ensure that none of these elected officials make it back in office.
STAND STRONG when they come around your home or yard asking for your vote of confidence. Tell them, “SORRY, I DON’T THINK SO!”
STAND STRONG on that commitment when you do go the voting booths come November.
It is time that our elected officials understand and know the power of the people, the voters, and why it should be protected and respected.
No government employee should ever be given a reckless ULTIMATUM in any form or shape!
STAND STRONG.
